OPEN CALL

Thank you for your interest and welcome you to enter information, in the form below, regarding the topic in relation to the second session of our series on sensory augmentation.

We will publish an open call for each session, which will be based around a chosen topic on Sensory Augmentation. We encourage submissions from all fields in order to provoke insightful discussions from a diverse community. We are not necessarily looking for fully developed, polished pieces - although those are also welcome - we are open to receiving works in progress that can benefit the most from intense discussion and feedback by a multidisciplinary group.

submission date

TBD

We will invite 4 proposals per session, to fill 8-minute presentation slots. Please email us your presentation ABSTRACT (300words), how your idea CONNECTS TO THE SESSION THEME (200words), and any images (optional)

that illustrate your idea/research.

If accepted you will need to prepare an 8minute visual presentation (not required at this stage). We acknowledge the limitations of familiar modes of presentations and seek to give space to the richness of creative practice around sensory augmentation. Therefore, we are open to receiving proposals for novel and experimental modes of showcasing your work.

Successful submissions will be shown on the website prior to the session as a teaser, and will remain after as documentation of the series. We will contact successful applicants to finalise the abstract & images used beforehand.

successful authors notified: TBD

SUBMIT

Submissions will be reviewed by the panel and successful submissions will be notified prior to the session.

As we will cover a wide range of topics, submissions may be held for future sessions, in which case authors will be contacted in advance to confirm participation.

Please send submissions to remakingsense@protonmail.com
